Following the end of the 'regular season', eligible 10U thru 14U teams will play in a round robin / knock-out cup competition. Teams are randomly seeded into the tournament; there are no regular season standings so teams can focus on player and team development. The 16U and 19U teams will play in the Area tournament. The Burlingame Cup winner of each division (10U thru 14U) will compete in the Area tournament in December in Foster City.
In the 10U Division, to quality for the end of season Burlingame Cup, each team needs to accumulate 9 Cup Volunteer Points. These are accumulated as follows:
- 2 points per refereed game for a new adult referee (i.e. one that was trained this season)
- 1 point per refereed game for a returning referee
- 1 point per refereed game for youth referee (up to a maximum of 4 points)
- Points are not awarded to untrained/uncertified referees
- Returning referees should be a close relative / guardian of a player on the team
